We created a series of educational resources with age-specific information and advice on dealing with online exploitation. We spoke to young audiences in a clear way, using accessible language and steering clear of scare tactics. Instead, we emphasised awareness of online behaviours that can be confusing or upsetting and can put them in difficult situations. We also created resources for caregivers to help them realize an uncomfortable and shocking truth – that it happens a lot more than they realize.
We produced a campaign video to highlight the fact that kids are online, they’re never really alone — everyday scenarios like chatting or playing games can lead to uncomfortable encounters with real consequences
