The fall roundup: The latest Banfield company news

It’s official: “second summer” is now behind us. And if you’re anything like our team, then you’re probably already bundling up in your most stylish cold weather gear and preparing for a busy winter at work.

Before that happens, and in case we don’t get to see each other in person over the next few months, we wanted to take the opportunity to share some recent company news. It’s the perfect reading companion to a pumpkin spice latte!

Véronique is back

After a well-deserved maternity leave with baby Luca, Account Director and Partner Véronique Gravel has now returned to work in full force! Only a couple of weeks in, and Véro’s presence is already being felt — both with her signature laugh around the office and her signature leadership on the projects she’s involved in. Glad to have you back!

Award for Legion social

We’re excited to announce that we recently won a National Silver Leaf Award of Excellence from IABC Canada for the work our Digital & Social Strategist, Jessica Kovar, has been doing with the Royal Canadian Legion. With the annual Poppy Campaign running from October 27 to November 11, there will be lots of opportunities to be part of the conversation online about #OurDuty to honour Veterans.

New digital strategist

We’re happy to welcome a new digital marketing strategist, Mark Brownlee, as part of the Banfield family. Mark comes with 8+ years of experience in journalism and communications, along with his expertise in digital marketing. And as the owner of a lovely Bernese Mountain Dog called Molly who’s already visited the office a few times, Mark is already fitting right in.

Nokia Agency Day in Finland

As one of Nokia’s designated global creative agencies, Banfield was invited to take part in the first annual Agency Day, in Espoo, Finland. Representing the office were President and Director of Client Services Nancy Webb, VP and Creative Director John Charrette, and Account Director and Partner Kristal Felea. You can speak to any of them directly to get a full recap of the event, but from all accounts it sounds like it was a very stimulating experience.

2nd annual Banfield Holiday Happy Hour

Following the success of last year’s Banfield Holiday Happy Hour, we’re aiming to make this an annual tradition. This year, we’re opening our doors on November 30 to clients, industry friends and partners. As usual, we’ll have lots of great food (yes, the oysters will be back) and fun activities. Don’t miss it!
