Ronald McDonald House Skifest

Making Cold Days Warmer with Ronald McDonald House

This January, Banfield had the opportunity to be a part of the 24th annual Ronald McDonald Skifest fundraising event at Mont Ste-Marie Ski Resort.

Not only was the fundraiser a sell-out, but it also raised a record-breaking $130,000. These funds will all go towards helping Manoir Ronald McDonald House Ottawa give sick kids and their families a home away from home.

Doing our part for an important cause

The Manoir Ronald McDonald House Ottawa is dedicated to providing a warm, safe, affordable and compassionate environment for families of seriously ill children receiving medical services.

So when the charity’s board of directors approached us last fall, we were more than willing to donate our services. Along with promoting the event on social media, we also created a new visual identity, video and tagline for the fundraiser — just in time for its 25th anniversary next year.

Warming up hands, feet and hearts

When the big day came, volunteers, Manoir staff and a few Banfield employees all worked together to make sure everything ran smoothly.

Skifest 2016 was jam-packed with activities for the registered attendees and corporate teams to enjoy. Between ski clinics, silent and live auctions, Beau’s beer tasting, a massage bar and the ski challenge relay race, the cold weather didn’t stand a chance.
