Getting to know our newest faces

It’s been a big year of change at Banfield, filled with new clients, new journeys and a brand-new website.

On top of all that, we’ve added some new faces to our Client Services and Creative teams over the past few months, and we figured it’s finally time introduce you to our latest additions:

Antra Balode

Antra joined the team this May as our Digital Producer — but a new job isn’t the only big change in her life. Antra recently moved to Ottawa from Latvia, where she worked at digital agency CUBE creating and managing its digital content department.

Throughout her career as an account manager, content strategist and university lecturer, Antra has gained experience in all aspects of the digital world, from building apps to graphic design to multimedia production.

Outside of the office, Antra is an established DJ who’s performed all over the world. We’re thrilled for her to share her experiences with us to bring our work to a whole new level.

Aurélie Barbe

Aurélie started working with us this May as our newest Account Director. Although she was born and raised in France, Aurélie has made a name for herself in Ottawa since her days as an international student, working for the communications department at the Ottawa International Airport and the University of Ottawa.

She hopes to use her experience working in education marketing to help expand Banfield’s areas of expertise. Plus, as, a native French speaker, Aurélie is also taking courses to become a certified translator and boost our bilingual capabilities.

In her free time, Aurélie likes to read and watch Netflix. She’s also a very talented seamstress and knitter, and makes a lot of her own clothes.

Katrin Emery

Newly graduated from Algonquin College’s Graphic Design program, Katrin is our most recent addition! She joined the team this July as a Creative Designer.

In addition to her finely-tuned design chops, Katrin is also a skilled illustrator and motion artist, and will be a major asset to both the design and video teams.

When she’s not applying all her artistic abilities at Banfield, she’s busy being creative in her personal life: Katrin loves to draw, sews her own clothing (last week, she made a shirt out of IKEA couch fabric!) and is currently working on the illustration and graphic design for a poetry book.
