Banfield is proud to announce we recently landed seven AVA Digital Awards, a program that recognizes exceptional work by creative professionals from the planning and concept stages through to the final polished product. Four of the awards, including three Platinum awards, were given to our latest video projects.
The first was awarded to us and client PDFC for a video produced as part of its Secure Your Meds campaign. This campaign focuses on educating parents of teens about the dangers of prescription drug abuse. The video was such a great experience for all involved, that we also took the time to develop a second short video to give a glimpse into what goes on behind-the-scenes of these types of shoots.
Our second Platinum award came from a video project with long-standing client Iridium Communications. The Iridium Government Solutions video won for motion graphics, marking the fourth award for this project. Our video team’s animation skills were put to the test with this piece, creating a video that takes complex information and turns it into a clear message through graphic visuals.
Motion graphics weren’t used in the QNX Technology Maserati Concept Car video, but that doesn’t make this video — which took home a Gold award — any less visually appealing. Banfield worked with the local-based company to produce this piece with the purpose of showing how the QNX platform can fit within a car and improve the driver experience.
Switching gears to video storytelling, our third Platinum win came from a special video created for our client National Arts Centre, as a part of a joint customer acquisition initiative between all of the NAC’s different disciplines. We helped produce Moments on Stage: A Mother’s Story, one of two videos showing just how important the arts can be in the lives of Canadians.
We also took home two awards for Hydro Ottawa, including a Gold for its Heating & Cooling radio spot, and another for its Heating & Cooling Online Banner. Both use the reminder of past technology (dial-up internet and cassette tapes) to remind us that other technology in the home, such as your furnace and air conditioner, can go out-of-date as well.
Our final award was for our very own Banfield Holiday Card featuring an interactive choose-your-own-adventure story leading to spray-on hair, fruitcake and, most importantly, kittens (!).
Our team worked extremely hard in the last year, producing work that both our clients and ourselves are proud of, and our hard work is beginning to pay off. So stay tuned for more updates as the results roll in!
We would like to thank our clients for empowering and challenging our team to create such innovative work and helping us raise the bar with every collaboration we make.
